Acacia EPZ operates in the ASALs regions where the communities mainly depend on pastoralism. Introducing a commercial value for Acacia Gum to the communities has greatly improved their livelihoods. We focus more on women and youth, by empowering them through training and encouraging them to seek alternative sources of income, such as gum harvesting, honey harvesting, bead making and goat rearing.
